Last Saturday I joined other members of the Northwest Houston Photo Club on a shoot at Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve. This is a Harris County Precinct facility with a 1 1/2 + mile shaded, paved trail around a lake. There is a lot of wildlife (even an alligator), though not always obvious due to the location next to a busy highway. If you have not visited Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve I do recommend it. It is open from 7 am to 9 pm now, other parts of the year it is 7 am to dusk.
Here is some of what I shot.

This gentleman was on a stroll through the preserve with his 53 year old companion Zachary. Very entertaining, both Zachary and his owner.
Periodically the Precinct brings out canoes and kayaks for the visitors to enjoy. And this was one of those occasions.
There is even a little library to encourage some reading.
