Line Dance Competition

Harris County Precinct 3 sponsored what they called Senior Olympics.  They held a number of events around the county at various community centers within Precinct 3.  At the Jurgens Hall Community Center they had a Line Dance Competition.  It was a fun event with poor lighting for a photographer,  never-the-less I attempted to shoot some of the competition.  Learned a lesson that I fall for all the time - You get to move around and get different shots, I stayed in one place too long and then I discovered a different place but it was at the end.   NOTE TI SELF- Move around.

Here are some of the shots -

Car Show

Harris County sponsored a car show today.  Being a man I felt obligated to go and see what was being shown,  Not a big turn out but it was nice to walk around and chat and shot some pictures.  Especially with no crowds.   Here is a few of the cars.

Another Foggy Morning

Woke up to find patchy fog. And I mean patchy, this view out my shows the fog hovering at roof top levels.  Reminded me of the "Tooley Fog" in the central valley of California, where the fog is pea soup thick and hovers from the surface to about 6 to 8 feet off the ground.
Here's what I saw this morning in Cypress Texas.

8 Year Old Baseball

My wife and I were invited to watch some friends 8 year old grandsons baseball tournament.  Was I ever surprised at the quality of the ballplayers, the game, and the field.  This facility has two ball diamonds, artificial turf infields, well maintained outfield, and covered concrete tiered stands (one with chairs and the other bring your own and plenty of space).

For eight year-olds (and up, not sure how up may 9 years old)  they played a pretty good game, not much overthrows, good rundowns, great attention by each boy to the game.  The pitchers were focused and in good form for their first or second year out of dad pitch.  They all had on uniforms with their names on them.  Most of the boys were wearing Oakley sunglasses ($$$.)  Some of them were sporting pretty decent mullets too.  Dressed and acted the part for sure.  All were using aluminum bats (their own) withe a large barrel.  Now onto the pictures
