Halloween Decorations at Brit's

 Our granddaughter Brittany and her husband go all out for Halloween.  Here is a small example of their decorations.

The evening started with a visit to our great-granddaughters Trunk or Treat function at her school,

Then to their home

Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park

 A short visit to Estes Park Colorado and a small portion of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Some window shopping and sightseeing were accomplished

 

Shamrock Texas

 A road trip to Denver took us through Shamrock Texas.  This was a way stop on the old Route 66.  When ever we travel and have an opportunity to visit Route 66 we will go out of way to visit the "Mother Road".  I was born on the western end of the the road and Betty was born in Chicago the eastern terminus of the highway.  

Shamrock is the home of the famous Conoco gas station and the U Drop Inn. Not much else is left of the old stuff but we did stop and enjoyed.

2025 Houston Air Show

For the past three years I've gone to the Houston Air Show, (sometimes known as Wings Over Houston) with my son-in-law Aaron and grandson Derek as a Christmas/Birthday gift.  It is always a treat for a guys day.  

This year there was a little disappointment as there was no show from the Air Force Thunderbirds Demonstration team do to the government shut down.  We still enjoyed the show but disappointment was felt by all.
