A Morning at Rice University

 Spent the morning at Rice university with the Houston Photowalkers.  Always an enjoyable outing, especially today as it was nice and clear. Started a bit cool but by 9:30 it was very comfortable.

Lots of textures and shadows to make the images interesting.  This was another day where I shot strictly with my Samyang 45mm f1.8 prime lens.   I am getting more used to this lens and really enjoying it.

Heritage Village

An outing with the Houston Photowalkers to the Heritage Village in Woodville, Texas.  Heritage Village is a collection of building arranged as a pioneer tom dated between the 1840's through the 1920's. I stayed with my new 45 mm, f/1.8 on the Sony AA7III Mirrorless for more experience with this lens. These were all handheld, most shot wide open and with Auto ISO due to limited light.  Post processing was done in Adobe Lightroom and Luminar 4.  I did use flash on some but I am uncomfortable with flash photography

New Lens

Bought a new Prime lens, Samyang 45mm f1.8. And I'm having a lot of fun with it.  I am leaving it on most of the time.  Learning new perspectives.  Making my feet be the zoom feature or moving my body to get better angles.  Forcing new perspectives.  Here are a couple from the day I received the lens.  Still using the Sony A7III mirrorless, all handheld with  Auto ISO.

Visiting Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve

Always nice to get out and visit this preserve. About 5 miles from home.  And it has a nice paved path for this old man to wander around taking advantage of the outdoors.  Todays visit seems like it was to take pictures of leaves. All these images were using my Sony A7III with a 24-240 mm lens.
